Mizan Organization for Human Rights and Studies has issued a rights report documenting the legal and human rights monitoring of liberation and administrative efforts in Syria during the first one hundred days, covering the period from November 27, 2024, to March 7, 2025.

The report presents a summary of the organization’s efforts in following developments on the ground and within administrative structures from a legal and human rights perspective. From the earliest stages of the operations, the organization worked to monitor developments and provide legal assessments and recommendations aimed at promoting respect for international humanitarian law and international human rights law.

According to the report, the organization participated in 117 media appearances and statements across Arab and international media outlets, including Al Jazeera, Asharq News, Sky News, Russia Today, TRT, Alhurra, and BBC, where it provided legal explanations and human rights analyses of ongoing developments.

The organization’s interventions and recommendations focused on several key issues, most notably compliance with international humanitarian law and human rights law, the preservation of documents and evidence held in security branches and institutions, the protection of civil registry data and real estate records, as well as safeguarding housing and both public and private property rights.

The report also addressed the issue of detainees, missing persons, and their families, emphasizing the need to handle these cases in accordance with principles of justice and transparency. It further highlighted the importance of transitional justice as a fundamental pathway toward building a state governed by the rule of law and strong institutions in Syria.

At the conclusion of the report, Mizan Organization expressed its openness to receiving comments and recommendations regarding the report’s content and to engaging in discussions with relevant stakeholders and those interested in human rights issues.
